What is Arbitrary Design?
Arbitrary Design describes design that is generated almost completely randomly within minimal bounds. The idea is to disrupt the learnt expectations a user has regarding the usual layout of a poster. However, the goal is to expand the idea onto websites, booklets, apps and any other medium imaginable. Ultimately, Arbitrary Design is being explored as a way to counter issues such as banner blindness and unreflected cognition of information.
